Fun Birthday Cakes!

One of the best things about my job is getting to help make someone's birthday extra special with an awesome birthday cake! Over the last couple of weeks, I got to do just that with these three fun cakes. Each one was over-the-top and very personalized for the birthday boy or girl.

This first one was for a surprise 50th birthday party. The daughter of the birthday girl said to make something colorful and whimsical with flair, because her mom has such a fun personality!
The entire cake was Chocolate Fudge with Strawberry Chiffon filling.

This next cake was for a guy who's a comic book fan and a pin ball fan! His birthday party was at a pin ball arcade, so the cake fit in perfectly. I used Iron Man, Spider Man, Captain America, and The Hulk superheros to decorate the machine. There are even little twinkling lights on the cake!! The playing board of the pin ball machine was made out of  German Chocolate cake and the score board of the machine was made of Rice Krispy treats and milk chocolate.

Here's the Birthday Boy "playing" his pin ball machine cake :)

This last cake was for a wine lover who just turned 30! There is a wooden wine crate filled with "wood shavings" (made out of white chocolate) with Morris Vineyards stamped on the side (the birthday girl's last name). The wine has a wienie dog theme (she loves her dachshund!), so the name is "Winer Dog". The circa date is the year she was born. The bottle's label was hand painted. The crate and bottle are sitting on top of a "wood cutting board", along with a cheese wheel and grapes (all made of fondant)! The wine bottle and crate were made of Red Velvet cake and Cream Cheese filling.  I am a wine lover myself, so this was such a fun cake to make!

Happy Birthday Jacinda!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Let me know which cake is your favorite!!
